MOVING THROUGH BROKEN TRUST
Many couples come to therapy to work through infidelity or other instances of broken trust. Working through this may include:
• Writing letters of acknowledgment and responsibility
• Sharing feelings openly and responding with care
• Understanding what led to the rupture
• Finding enough healing and forgiveness to move forward
Forgiveness doesn’t have to be total for a relationship to continue. What matters most is creating enough understanding to be able to move forward together.
